All `awa products are created for topical use only and can be used on ailments such as soothing sore
muscles, `awa relieves symptoms of pain and inflammation from arthritis, lupus, shingles and with ailments such as sprains,
bruises, burns, mild allergic reactions to plants, sinus problems, earaches, toothaches, headaches, insect bites, sore-throat
(in the early stages) warts, boils, sore muscles, psoriasis, topical pain, any type of inflammation. Used topically
like a Vick's solution, has shown to be helpful for coughs.
Momi started off by making this product for fun. She gave it to her family and friends and they helped her create this
list of ailments they found it helpful for.
For sinus headaches, gently rub the `awa product on the temples nose behind and below the ears and/or between and
above the eyes. Caution: do not get product into eyes. If this happens, consult a physician.
`Awa (Piper methysticum) topically is helpful as a local anasthetic which is why it works well on topical
pain.
`Olena (Curcuma longa) topically has anti-inflammatory healing properties. There are many skin benefits
from using `olena topically. Another name for `olena is turmeric.
`Iliahi (Santalum sp.) has been used for generations as a relaxing therapeutic fragrance. It was used by
the Native Hawaiians to scent their kapa or barkcloth. A more common name for `iliahi is Sandalwood.

This product is made from Coconut oil which has a characteristic of melting in humidity, and hardening in the cold. The
`awa oil is better for people who live in high humid temperatures. In cold temperatures, the oil product will harden and need
to be placed in a cup of warm water. Both the oil and salve contain the same ingredients and is used for all ailments
listed on this website.
